Carolyn Yeutter

Carolyn is a multi-talented artist and craftsperson.  She has been a member of HAA for eight years, and is currently HAA secretary.  She has a degree in Art Education from Missouri State University, and for a number of years was an art teacher in Northern Arizona.

Since retiring from that job, she has had more time to focus on her own special passions – pen and ink drawing and paper arts.  Her pen and ink work is exceptional in its texture and  detail, and she has a real feel for the Southern Arizona landscape, and enjoys depicting local subject matter, Bisbee townscapes in particular.  She is  currently represented by the Tang Gallery in Bisbee, as well as showing her work in our own HAA Gallery.

In addition to her drawing skills, she is also a master of collage and bookmaking (the legal kind, that is with real books). Her handmade and hand bound books come in all shapes, sizes and configurations, for a variety of uses.  Her bookbinding was featured on the Neighbors page of the Sierra Vista Herald last June.  Also, her handmade paper cutout note  cards are delightfully unique.
